New X-Ray Upgrades for Patients in Eden and Menard

Concho County Hospital District has added new imaging systems to make X-rays faster, clearer, and more comfortable for patients, helping strengthen access to high-quality care close to home.

The hospital recently purchased two new systems:

GE Definium Tempo / Tempo Pro Digital X-ray Room
GE AMX Navigate Portable X-ray System

These upgrades are important investments in both patient care and workflow. The portable system also allows staff to perform imaging in more settings throughout the facility when moving a patient is not recommended.

“When nurses and other clinicians have efficient technology to depend on, they can spend more time caring for patients and doing the job they love,” said Robert A. Pascasio, MS, LFACHE, CEO of Concho County Hospital District. “This is an incredibly important capital investment not only because it upgrades critical equipment that is used every day, but also because efficient workflows are meaningful to staff and patients.”

The new equipment was purchased with support from a Rural Hospital Improvement Grant from Texas Health and Human Services. The Texas Legislature appropriated funds for rural hospital grants under Rider 88, Rural Hospital Grant Program, of the Texas General Appropriations Act, 88th Texas Legislature, Regular Session. Concho County Hospital District was one of 33 rural hospitals in Texas to receive the grant.

“This new equipment elevates the quality of care we can provide locally,” said Mackenzie Hopkins, RT(R), ARRT, Radiology Manager. “The grant supports our always prudent use of resources where it is appropriate and beneficial to patients and staff.”
